Genesis is a series of 10 paintings depicting the beginning of creation. It’s about the formation of creation from the tiny atom to the huge Universe. It reveals harmony in nature, in the universe and in us. I use repetition and rhythm found in creation. There is beauty in all. Order comes out of chaos and the repetitive marks come together in harmony to create a vision of the invisible.
Each paintings is built with many thin glazes of egg tempera of mineral pigments azurite and earth pigments of ochres, hematite and natural greens. They are varnished with studio made bees varnish to bring the colours out. The colours in the paintings get richer and more luminous by time.
